Are you open year-round?
Yes, the park is open year round. We have a large indoor area with a kid’s play zone, animal exhibits & an arts & crafts area. Park hours vary by season, so please check the Hours and Admission page for current information.
Is everything open in the winter?
Our indoor animal exhibits, kid’s indoor play zone, Discovery Room and educational shows continue year-round. In the winter months, select outdoor animal exhibits may be closed (such as Lemur Island), but the Barn, Contact Area and Pony Rides are open year-round, weather permitting.
Can I pet and feed animals at the Park?
Our barn and contact area are the two locations you can pet and feed animals such as llamas, sheep, goats and donkeys. You may only feed select animals food provided by the Park, as many of our animals are on special diets.
Do you offer Season Passes?
The park offers an individual Season Pass, which includes unlimited daytime visits during our regular season (weekend restrictions during our fall fest). Click here to purchase a season pass.
Can I purchase a Season Pass online?
Yes, season passes are now available online. While you can pay for the pass online (or purchase it as a gift), physical season passes are given to the pass holder in person after signing a membership agreement and providing a photo ID.

Can I apply what I spent on admission towards a Season Pass?
Yes, you can apply your one-day admission toward your Season Pass, but only if you upgrade on the same day.
Can I change a name on my Season Pass?
No, Season Passes are not transferable.
Do you offer group rates?
We offer group rates on weekdays (not holidays) for pre-scheduled groups of 15 or more. Please visit our group page for details.
Does everyone in my family need an admission ticket?
Kids under age 2 are free; all other guests need an admission ticket.
Do I have to pay for all the guests in my birthday party?
Everyone who comes into the park needs an admission ticket, even if they are coming to “chaperone” kids. Complete your party guest list with the names of everyone you are willing to pay for. Anyone not on your list will be ask to purchase their own admission ticket.
Is the Park suitable for a particular age range?
Kids of all ages enjoy visiting the animals at the Park, but we cater to the 2-10 age group
What is the policy on pony rides?
Kids must be under 55 inches tall and weigh under 95 pounds. They also must be able to sit upright and balance in the saddle. All riders must wear a helmet (we provide helmets!) and parents must sign a waiver.
Can I bring in my own food?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food. We also sell light fare in our gift shop (lunchables, Gogurt, cheese sticks, mac & cheese). On select weekends, we have a food truck a the Park serving hot food. Please note, we do not allow alcohol. Also, please don’t share your food with the animals!
Can I bring my pet?
We do not allow dogs or other pets inside the park. If you have a trained service dog, please check in at the front desk to discuss park guidelines before entering. Please note, emotional support animals, therapy dogs, and service dogs in training are not trained service dogs, are not protected by the ADA, and are not allowed in the park.
Service animals must stay at least 20 feet back from exotic animal exhibits and may not enter the Contact Area. A service animal may be asked to leave the Park if it causes a disruption to operations or poses a threat to the health and safety of others. In addition, the Park reserves the right to designate areas as restricted or sensitive without prior notice if a service animal’s presence is causing an animal undue stress or anxiety, or as a result of new births, breeding behavior, or new animals.
Specific behaviors that could lead to removal from the Park include, but are not limited to: 1. A service animal displaying vicious or aggressive behavior toward other people or animals. 2. A service animal is being disruptive: barking, growling, jumping or running at people or animals. 3. A service animal is not house broken. 4. A service animal is not under the control of its handler. 5. A service animal enters a restricted area or does not keep at least 20 feet away from program animals or exotic animal exhibits.
How big is the park?
Leesburg Animal Park is about 22 acres. The park is mostly stone dust paths throughout, with a few hills. Wear your comfortable shoes!
