Are you open year-round?
Yes, the park is open year round. Hours vary please check the Hours and admission page for current information.
Is everything open in the winter?
Our indoor animal exhibits, kid’s indoor play zone, Discovery Room and educational shows continue year-round. In the winter months, select outdoor animal exhibits may be closed (such as Lemur Island), but the Barn, Contact Area and Pony Rides are open year-round, weather permitting.
What kind of animals are at the Park?
We have a variety of domestic and exotic animals such a lemurs, sloth, camels, zebras, donkeys, llamas, sheep, cows, birds, gibbons, wallabies, and reptiles.
Can I pet and feed animals at the Park?
Our barn and contact area are the two locations you can pet and feed animals such as llamas, sheep, goats, cows, and donkeys. You may only feed select animals food provided by The Park, as many of our animals are on special diets.
Do you offer Season Passes?
The park offers a Season Pass or Multi Visit passes. Visit our Season Pass page for details.
Can I purchase a Season Pass online?
Yes, season passes are now available online. A membership agreement and Photo ID is required to get your passes at the Park.
Can I apply what I spent on admission towards a Season Pass?
Yes, you can apply your one-day admission toward your Season Pass, but only if you upgrade on the same day.
Can I change a name on my Season Pass?
No, Season Passes are not transferable.
Do you offer group rates?
We offer group rates on weekdays (not holidays) for pre-scheduled groups of 15 or more. Please visit our group page for details.
Does everyone in my family need an admission ticket?
Kids under age 2 are free; all other guests need an admission ticket.
Do I have to pay for all the guests in my birthday party?
Everyone who comes into the park needs an admission ticket, even if they are coming to “chaperone” kids. Complete your party guest list with the names of everyone you are willing to pay for. Anyone not on your list will be ask to purchase their own admission ticket.
Is the Park suitable for a particular age range?
Kids of all ages enjoy visiting the animals at the Park, but we cater to the 2-10 age group
What is the policy on pony rides?
Kids must be under 55 inches tall and weigh under 95 pounds. They also must be able to sit upright and balance in the saddle. All riders must wear a helmet. (we provide helmets!)
Can I bring in my own food?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food. We also sell light fare in our gift shop (lunchables, Gogurt, cheese sticks, mac & cheese). On select weekends, we have a food truck a the Park serving hot food. Please note, we do not allow alcohol. Also, please don’t share your food with the animals!
Can I bring my pet?
We love our pets, but unfortunately we cannot allow dogs or other pets inside the park (unless they are service animals).
How big is the park?
Leesburg Animal Park is about 22 acres. The park is mostly stone dust paths throughout, with a few hills. Wear your comfortable shoes!
